Life has changed significantly since the pandemic, and this Thursday will mark the second Thanksgiving we'll celebrate with things not being quite normal. Yet, the team at Hanzo realizes that we are very blessed.
We've been lucky to be a remote-first company from before the pandemic and so we were already working from home and were well equipped to hunker down and continue our work without unnecessary risk to our health or the health of our families. We were blessed to continue operations amidst the uncertainty that has plagued the globe.
Unfortunately, 1 in 4 people struggle with food insecurity, and while this challenge is bigger than any one entity can solve alone, we do realize small combined efforts can make a world of difference.
Hanzo has a culture of inclusivity and social responsibility. We believe that it is our duty to invest our time and resources in our local communities. So as we approached the holidays, some members from our New York team took the opportunity to show our gratitude for our own bounty and contribute their time to help those in need at a wonderful organization called God's Love We Deliver.
God's Love We Deliver is a non-sectarian organization whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other serious illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition. The team from Hanzo had the opportunity to help package three thousand meals in one afternoon. God's Love typically prepares and delivers ten thousand meals a day.

As we approach Thanksgiving, let us all remember the blessings we have, let us honor those who are no longer with us, and let us help those in need. Together in gratitude, we have the power to make a meaningful difference in someone's life and that is a wonderful bit of food for thought.
Happy Thanksgiving from Team Hanzo!
